The summer months can be just as challenging to your skin as the cold, dry winter months. You should be aware of the potential damage to your skin from the summer sun and dry, hot environment. Frequent showers and baths during the warmer months can also contribute to dry skin by further reducing essential skin moisture.

SUN PROTECTION

If you are fair skinned with light eyes, try to use broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection with an SPF of 50 or higher. For most other people, 30 SPF with UVA protection is adequate. Always lean on the side of caution and, if in doubt, ask your dermatologist or physician which level sunscreen protection best suits your skin type and life style.

Sun protection is essential for children, so always apply sunscreen on your little ones before any outdoor activities.
